About the author 

 Dr. Arnold has 28 years of uniformed service, with commissions in the United States Air Force, and the United States Navy. He completed numerous assigned active-duty tours with the USCG, USMC, and the USN, as a Navy Chaplain. He is a Founding Chaplain of CREDO Okinawa Japan (1987-1989) and Founding Director CREDO Camp Lejeune, NC (1997-2000) where he offered transformational retreat-based programs and non-retreat events designed to assist Marines, Sailors, and their families in developing personal growth opportunities, and the spiritual resources and resiliency skills necessary to excel in the military environment.


Upon his retirement from active military service, Dr. Arnold served as the first civilian Clinical Director and Department Head for the Deployment Health Center (DHC) (2007-2009) and, subsequently, as a Pastoral Counselor at Naval Medical Center, Camp Lejeune (2009-2018), where he worked with Wounded Warriors and their family members at the Intrepid Spirit Concussion Recovery Center (ISCRC), in the areas of Posttraumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD) and mild Traumatic Brain Injury (mTBI).


Specializing in holistic-oriented mindfulness-based pastoral counseling, Dr. Arnold offered individual, couple, and group sessions in Integrative Restoration (iRest) and Mindfulness-based Stress Reduction (MBSR).
